Decisions, decisions…

Okay, so Welcome to Night Vale is coming back to Europe in October and I have a decision to make. No, the question is not whether I will be going or not, because that’s a given. The question is where I will be going. So far I’ve seen The Librarian in Stockholm and The Investigators in London and I have no idea where I’m going to aim at getting tickets this year. Should I stay closer to home and go to Stockholm, or go back to London again? Or maybe somewhere else all together? Ireland perhaps? I’ve never been to Ireland and they say that it’s beautiful. Either way I need to decide soon, because the tickets goes on sale on the 19th and I want to get them on that day to be sure that I get it.

So, anyone else going?

A Birthday of Perfect Timing

So, a few days ago (Monday the 2nd of March) I turned 27 years old. It was one of those days when both me and my boyfriend happen to have a day off, so we slept in properly (or he did, I woke up by the first congratulatory message at 7.50 am) and then got ready to drive to my mother for dinner.

An evening full of good food (nothing can ever beat those childhood favorites, not really), good company and many laughs with my youngest sister (some of it about things that only her and me seemed to understand even the tiniest bit of) had me tired but content when it was time to head home.

And when I did get home I found an e-mail that I have been impatiently waiting for! Apparently it was sent out on the 1st but I didn’t see it until the 2nd so it became something like the perfect birthday present. Welcome to Night Vale, that podcast that I adore to bits and pieces, have finally released the Live Recording of The Librarian on their Bandcamp page! And yes, this is the very show that I went to Stockholm to see back in October!! I have been wanting to listen to it again since then, to try and re-visit the feeling that I had when I sat in the theater watching it, and now I finally can! It was the perfect ending to a wonderful day, and I really couldn’t wish for anything more for that day of the year I was born.

Tired but Giddy!

Just finished the last of four twelve-hour days at work (though today it stretched to thirteen -_-) and feel completely drained of energy. But despite the exhaustion, I feel like dancing! It sounds insane I know, but I have a good reason for it! Because last night I managed to snag a ticket for the Welcome to Night Vale liveshow in Stockholm in October! Sure, I really wanted to get my hands on a London ticket to make a mini-vacation out of it, but those were all sold out by the time I got home from work of course. But staying in the country is not that bad either, if nothing else it’s kinder on the wallet xD And as long as I get to go, I couldn’t be happier 😀 Spoke to my boss about it tonight and she assured me that we’ll fix it so that I’m free that weekend, so there shouldn’t be any issues hopefully. I can’t even begin to describe how happy I am about this!
