I’ve been playing with the idea of changing my channel name on YouTube to something less.. well.. not my name.. for a while. I brought it up way back in my New Years Q&A and I’m finally ready to do it! The problem is, I can’t decide on a name to use. I have narrowed it down to four possibilities, but would be forever grateful if you amazing people would help me choose which one to go with. I wanted it to have sorta a cat theme to match my avatar, and these are the ones I’m considering ^^
Hey there everyone! I am planning something a little different for my YouTube channel this new years and I want your help. I want to do a Q&A that will go up on New years eve and will be collecting questions from various sources throughout December. So if you have anything you want me to answer, just leave me a comment and I’ll pick the most interesting ones to answer for you!
Long, boring and snowy day at work and an even longer drive home (seriously, the road home have never felt so long) but I came home to a lovely surprise. The Death Note hoodie that I had ordered was waiting for me when I entered the house! It’s really soft and warm and beautiful and I love it to bits and pieces! This is the one if you want to check it out, since I don’t have a photo of it right now.
Getting this gem sent me back into the Death Note frenzy that I thought had started to dissipate with the holidays and new year. Not that I’m complaining, I can’t think of a better frenzy to be in to be honest. So I thought that I’d share a few favorite videos of mine with you all, wasn’t that a great idea? I’ll just post them here shall I? Oh, and all of these videos were made by LindaK on YouTube and feature Drama!Lawlight. She is amazing, just telling you.
Giving these two a happier ending is always a good thing and this video does just that.
This one is seriously way more adorable than it has any right to be considering the very interesting (and somewhat filthy) things it does to my imagination. The creator described it as pure sin, and I have no arguments against that what so ever.
Lawlight look exchanges set to the music of ‘Hungry Eyes’. It couldn’t have been more perfect if you ask me. The best part about this is that all of these looks actually happened in the way shown here, they look in each other’s eyes for a great part of their time together. And the end cracks me up every time I watch it.
Speaking of crack…
This is about 15 minutes of pure gold. It has my emotions run up and down like a roller-coaster, but it is pure gold. I think I have watched it far too many times, but it’s still as good as the first!
And now that I have left you with these amazing pieces of awesome, I’ll leave you to your viewing pleasure and go to bed before I get stuck re-watching all of them again. Have a wonderful night everyone!
I am well aware that I spend more time on the internet than is probably healthy (in my defense there is not much else to do in my Middle of Nowhere) and a large portion of that time is spent browsing on YouTube. Despite the huge amount of time I spend on that wonderful site, I have never been interested in the phenomena that is YouTubers. However, these past few weeks that has changed.
I blame my sister completely and she knows it, but instead of feeling guilty as she should, she is incredibly proud of herself for having ruined my life. To be fair I had much the same feeling when I ruined hers with Doctor Who…
…and have been slowly but surely feeding me images and short clips of them, either when we’ve met or through her Twitter and Tumblr accounts. At last I came to the point where my curiosity was greater than my self-preservation and I gave their videos a watch… I rather quickly stumbled upon their gaming channel, and about halfway through their series of playing Sims 4 this tweet happened…
I was seriously questioning my sanity at this point because it shouldn’t be that addicting to watch two adults(!) playing a game that I generally connect with young teens… But despite the fact that my mind is seriously endangered, I keep on watching videos, continuously asking myself why I am doing it. But oh well, I’ll keep on blaming my sister and using that to make me feel better about the complete loss of a life that I have ended up with… Not that I had much of one to begin with…
I believe I have mentioned this before but I spent a rather ridiculous amount of time on YouTube, browsing through fanmade videos of my favorite shows. Some people say that it’s a waste of time, but I have to disagree. I have found so many things that I would never have wanted to miss out on while doing this; getting curious about new shows that I end up loving or hearing a song for the first time that becomes one of my favorites. Today I will simply leave you with five videos that gave me the latter, videos that enriched my music playlist by opening my eyes to songs and artists that I might never have heard if I didn’t spend that time browsing aimlessly. Give them a listen, and I hope you like them as much as I do!
I was browsing on YouTube for Sherlock videos because of boredom this week, and stumbled on a video that made me immensely curious. It was based on a fanfiction that unfortunately was removed from AO3 already, but it lead me to find that it is being turned into a web-series on YouTube. I went over to check out the trailer and after a little searching around I found a link to download the fanfiction in .pdf format on their official Facebook page. Not surprisingly, what with me being bored and having become curious about the story, I set out to read it. It is absolutely brilliant!
The story is called A Finger Slip and tells the story of how teenage John accidentally sends a text to the wrong number, Sherlock’s, and they end up forming a rather strange relationship through text, becoming friends without ever having met. It is completely dialogue-based and most of it is text-conversations, and it is lovely! You should read it, it can be found on this Facebook page. Also, check out the YouTube page for the web-series project, you will definitely not regret it.
The video that first got me curious was this one:
And the trailer for the web-series is right here:
